- The Prophets in Islam were extraordinary individuals sent by Allah(Mighty and Eternal) to various communities for the purpose of being exemplary role models to inspire and spread the message of Islam. The Qur’an mentions 25 Prophets by name but it is believed there were many more

Others, the Angels

Angels are believed to be made of concentrated light

-Allah refers to the Angels as honored servants.“…Rather, they are [but] honored servants” (Quran 21:26)

Duties of Angels

1. The Angel Gabriel = This is the most distinguished of the angels, in carrying revelation from Allah to the Prophets. This includes bringing the Quran to Prophet Muhammed, which is mentioned in Quran:" “And it is surely the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. The "trusted Spirit" has brought it down to your heart, in order that you might be one of the warners, in clear Arabic language.” (Qur’an: 26:192-195)

2. The Angel Michael = The duty of This Angel Michael is to regulate Earth climate, sending rain and giving life to plants.

3. The Angel Israfil = The duty of the Angel is to blow the trumpet for Qiamat, on the day of the Coming of judgment.

4. The Angel of Izrail = The duty of the Angel Izrail is to collect the souls of mankind when their death comes.

5. The Munkar and Nakir Angels = Both angels task is to set trial of deceased in grave, ask about god, religios, prophets, worship, brothers, guidelines of life, way of life, and daily behavior.

6. The Angel Malik = Angel Malik’s job is to guard the gates of Jahannam (hell).

7 The Angel Ridwan = the Angel Ridwan to guard and watch over the door of Jannat(paradise).
